Περιγραφή: Since the end of the Second World War, ‘Human Rights’ has been a concept firmly represented in discourses of international relations, politics, sociology and law. But what exactly are human rights and why are they important? These are essential questions, which are not necessarily easy to answer.

Therefore, Hellenic Youth Participation organises a two-day non-formal workshop to create a collective reflection and constructive discussion on human rights and non-discrimination, with the intention of increasing knowledge and awareness of these issues.

Divided on Saturday the 24th and Monday the 26th the two days will have separate but interconnected focuses. On Saturday we will have a general focus on human rights from a multi-disciplinary perspective including politics, law, sociology and philosophy. On Monday we will focus specifically on non-discrimination, reflecting on the complexity of identity, equality, different forms of discrimination and their intersections.

Although the two days are supporting each other, it is also possible to participate in merely one. You do not need to have any prior knowledge on human rights to participate. All people are welcome. The Workshop will be conducted in English.

We look forward seeing you.
