Did you know that every year 570 thousand tons of plastic end up in the Mediterranean Sea with the result that for every kilometer of coastline, more than 5 kg of plastic waste accumulate per day? All of us can make a difference! The world is our home, we are the first to take care of it, enhance it, keep it tidy and clean!

To give a signal to the city of Athens that we must change our habits and that we are moving towards a fair and sustainable future, we decided to meet on Wednesday 23rd of June at 5 pm at the coast of Edem beach, Athens (volleyball area adjacent to the beach), to get to work and clean up the beach and coast from plastic, glass, cigarette butts and all kinds of waste! Take part in the initiative too! Get in touch with the young and proactive HYP team!
