Green is easy | ''Vegan Life''
Details for the Activity
Adopting a vegan lifestyle In the fifth episode of Green is Easy, we learned more about how veganism, often thought of as a diet only, is also tied to the environment. For instance, plant-based food generally has a better impact on the environment than a diet containing meat, as it requires less water and land, increases ocean health, and has lower greenhouse gas emissions. Our guest in this week’s episode, Vegan Life, organizes annual festivals promoting veganism. Apart from highlighting the benefits of this diet, the organization shared other green practices that can be implemented when organizing such events. These include avoiding single-use plastic, reusing materials (such as fabric from tents and banners), and donating leftover food to people in need. Such practices can be incorporated through collaboration between organizations and companies offering sustainable solutions, to ensure that sustainability is approached from all angles.
