Orienteering Sport – Athens Orienteering Challenge

The Athens Orienteering Challenge took place on November 23, in the city center of Athens, offering participants a hands-on introduction to orienteering through an urban exploration game.

Starting from the Arch of Hadrian, participants moved in teams through parks, pedestrian streets, and historic areas of the city, using specially designed maps with designated checkpoints.

Objectives of the activity:

  • locating all checkpoints in the correct order
  • returning to the finish line within the time limit
  • developing orientation and teamwork skills
  • meeting new people and having fun

The route was suitable for adults of all fitness levels, allowing both beginners and more experienced participants to take part. The activity combined physical movement, urban exploration, and collaboration, offering a dynamic and enjoyable experience.
