Gynaikonitis | New Empowerment Cycle ✨
The new cycle of Gynaikonitis took place as a unique empowerment group based on Bill Plotkin’s Map of Wholeness, offering a safe space for personal and collective exploration. The meetings were held in person at HYP, with the first session on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
Throughout the cycle, participants were invited to reflect on:
· How religion and society have shaped their relationship with their body, joy, career, care, or even their shadows
· Which parts of themselves were cultivated and which remained on the margins
· Whether they felt ready to stand whole, with all their aspects, on a path of personal and collective empowerment
In traditional Greek society, the gynaikonitis was the private area of the home designated for women. While it seemingly protected modesty, in reality it reinforced the patriarchal structure, restricting women from the public sphere and active participation. Today, gynaikonitis is redefined as a space of empowerment – a refuge where women gather to deconstruct patriarchal norms, reconnect with forgotten parts of themselves, and claim voice, self-determination, and strength.
