Restart Your Career
Details for the Activity
The
main aim of the project is to create a 11+1 online programme to support
women in developing a set of competences and a proper mindset to
restart their career, increasing inclusion of women in education and
training, promoting their access to the labor market, improve the
quality of their career and reduce the gender gap in the labor market.
We created ReStart Your Career to promote and spread among women a concept of career that
focuses on passions, talents, desires, inspirations, ambitions and
self-realisation.
Supporting Women’s empowerment and career development training course
and mentoring programme is designed for adult educators social workers,
coaches, counselor, psychologists and other helping professions.
It involves 4 organisations: Work in Progress (Italy), Animam Viventem
(Portugal), Youth Hellenic Participation (Greece) and EIP (France).
From Greece, Italy and Portugal, 9 adult educators, coaches,
counsellors, psychologists, social workers and other helping
professionals were all involved. They are all women who work with
women, supporting their empowerment process and their career development
process.
The objectives of Restart your career are:
*To be a conversation starter and to promote among women a concept of
career that focuses on passions, talents, desires, inspirations and
ambition. This is specifically important because it brings several
consequences. Building a career focused on satisfaction and
self-actualisation leads to higher income and to a lesser desire to
leave a good workplace
*To improve the access of women to quality and innovative education,
that respects their time management and are enough flexible to adapt to
the needs of the target groups
*To increase the competences of adult educators in professional coaching
and one2one support of women professional development
*To share good practices on women employability and career development
*To improve the overall quality of the work carried out by the partners
and by other adult education organisations
*To support other organisations in implementing new tools to support
gender equality
*To promote an holistic approach in adult education, that take care of
the whole person and of their needs
*To support the use of digital tools for learning.
