Melina participates in the program "Connecting European Volunteers"

Last summer I decided to apply for the Connecting European Volunteers volunteer program in Tarragona, Spain. It was one of the best decisions of my life.

Last month I participated as a volunteer in 3 different Erasmus + projects, thus learning the value of experiential learning as a tool for holistic development of intelligence and personality of young people. Respectively, I appreciated the value of the collective action and the team spirit in the completion of an activity and the completion that you feel in this process.

In such a short time I had the opportunity to meet dozens of people from different countries, cultures and civilizations, to talk to them, to exchange ideas, thoughts, to sing and dance traditionally of each country, and to prove in practice that more than we are all people with the same needs for communication, understanding, love and solidarity.

In addition, through the volunteer program I have the opportunity to get to know a new country from the inside, its people, its history, its customs, its language. Spain is a beautiful country with hospitable people, delicious food and great music. Leaving here my goal is to have improved the level of my Spanish, which is achievable as there is always a local around willing to speak to you and help you with the language!
