Gender ON!

Erasmus+
"Gender ON!" was implemented from 09.01 to 17.01.23 in Berlin, Germany  and the main topics were:

  • 44 participants will explore gender equity and inequity and preventing gender-based violence in youth work realities;
  • 44 participants will share non-formal learning activities and creative exercises on 
  • exploring the topics of gender, sex, genderbased violence and sexist online hate speech, the roles of the socially assigned behavior patterns and emotions to feel about it;
  • 44 participants will practice digital youth work tools such as making online mini campaigns and video messages and improve their digital youth work competences in order to fight against gender inequality and prevent offline and online gender-based violence.
  • 1 public mini campaign on preventing gender-based violence will be implemented in order to promote gender equality in the local community with for and by young people with fewer opportunities.
  • 1 digital booklet will be made including all digital youth work tools for promoting and supporting gender equality among young people.
  • 12 youth exchanges will be invented in order to support gender equity and preventing gender-based violence for young people from rural areas, having Roma, minority, refugees and migrants’ background. We will reach approx. 5000 young people by involving them into these projects.
 
My experience from the training program Gender on in Berlin was very nice! I met a lot of people and I made new friendships! The issues and the activities were very interesting! I liked most the games e  very morning before the starting sessions! But I have to comment that the hours of the program were really hard! I would like i little more free time to catch the vibes of the local community here! I think that we could finish the activities a little bit earlier! Thanks for the experience! - Eleni 

My experience was excellent. Through interactive activities we analyzed the inequality that exists in each country, despite the existence of relevant legislation. The moment when we discovered the rate of domestic violence in the participating countries was significant! - Χρύσα

Even though it was my first time participating, I would say that I experienced something very special and unique. The organisation of the programme was very good. It was really a unique experience to exchange views on gender inequality. -Aggeliki

Ι joined this particular Erasmus plus program because I was sincerely interested in gender related topics. We talked about gender roles, human reproductive right, gender based violence and so much more. I met very interesting people from other countries, with different ethics and beliefs, unique individuals who want to live life and meet others. Great fun team building exercises, ice breaking games, enlightening workshops and my personal favorite the culture nights. - Kostantina
