Non Formal Learning for Improving Youth Work in Diverse Settings
"Non Formal Learning for Improving Youth Work in Diverse Settings" was implemented from 18.02 to 25.02.2023 in Paralimni, Cyprus, and the main objectives were:
- International cooperation between experienced and not experienced Organisations and individuals but also between target
group, youths and youthworkers who aim for eliminating discrimination and marginalisation through social inclusion practice.
- To promote the non formal education as a mean of approaching diversity and supporting young people with current
educational needs
- We aim to develop projects to leave an efficient impact for the next Erasmus period on the topic of European identity
and intercultural learning
-To develop skills and competences to youths for improving entrepreneurship and employability.
During our days there, we learned a lot of things about non formal education. We visited a school in which we put the things we learned into practice. Also personally, it helped me with managing my theatrical club! I had an amazing time and when the time of saying goodbye came, I actually realised that I would meet a lot of the people I met. It's an amazing experience for everyone!!!! - María
During the seminar we were taught so many things from our trainers, we met new, special people and we had such a great time all together. From training and activities,amazing workshops and having fun, we left from Cyprus full of memories. I hope to meet again this beautiful team. Thank you for all the things we learned from each other because you were all so special and especially Renos, Inga, Ekaterini and of course special thanks to the public school of Agia Napa for giving us the chance to meet and have activities with children 😊. First of all the project was really interesting and it turned out to be very useful. During the seminar we were taught about formal and non formal ways of learning and we focused on the last ones. We discussed about the topic and created our own activities. Later, we "presented" these activities and some students from the local primary school participated in them.
Also, we met people from other countries and we had a great time together as a team. The trainers were excellent and made the topic as interesting as possible! As a result, this project in Paralimni is one of the best I have ever participated in and I feel lucky for meeting those wonderful people and sharing the precious knowledge.- Andreas
