Young soul
"Young
Soul" was implemented from 23.03 to 31.03.2023 in Kalkara, Malta,
and the main objectives were:
- Appreciate
and support the invisible, but existing target group, that can be considered a
group with fewer opportunities and definitely with special needs – more mature
youth workers, usually staying in their customary conditions in home realities;
- Create
proper supportive conditions, to motivate this target group to come out from
its comfort zone (including travelling, speaking in English, communicating with
younger colleagues);
- Learn from
the experience and particular case-studies from this target group;
- Find out
the secret of their youth elixir and the secret of long successful careers;
- Let the
younger and tuned youth workers to inspire, motivate, update others
with fresh
ideas, new tools (including the digital ones), modern methods.
Hi!!I am Anthi Daniilidou and I
experienced the great project called Young Soul. I had some of my most
wonderful days in Malta,and I met a lot of amazing and inspiring souls. I also
discovered myself throughout the workshops and thought about my passion,my
dreams . I also felt very comfortable sharing my feelings to the group and I
felt really interested to hear theirs. We also had great moments while
exploring the city and dancing in the lunch breaks. I suggest this kind of
project to eeeveryone. Words cannot describe the exact feeling and learning of
this process. A big thank you the least a can say! – Anthi.
My experience at Young Soul was truly
amazing. I met very interesting people from other countries and formed a lot of
new friendships. The project was able to educate people of all ages with many
different types of Non-Formal Education. I learned a lot of new methods about
working with young people and I must say I learned a lot more about myself too.
The whole group, alongside our hosts and our trainer, took trips to almost
every place in Malta and I can for sure say I had tons of fun every single day.
I hope I will have the opportunity to join another project in the future! –
Kostis
The
Erasmus+ training course, Young Soul in Malta, was the 1st project I attended
and I couldn’t be happier to participate! There, I met amazing youth workers
from different generations, who were truly inspiring. I learned how different
generations of youth workers all around Europe are operating, what are the
challenges they are facing and how we can solve them together by supporting
each other.
We
became friends with the people at the project on the very first day, and by the
end, we were a bonded group of friends that for sure will meet again. Our
trainer Kristina was incredible, providing us with qualitative and interactive
sessions and of course, our hosts couldn’t be more welcoming!
I
returned from Malta inspired to continue my work as a youth worker and find my
own creative ways to make a difference! I wish I was still there :) - Suzanna
