The Youth Exchange in Lithuania brought together groups of young people from different nations who shared a common interest in STEAM subjects, time management, and teamwork. Over the course of the program, participants engaged in a series of dynamic activities, including workshops, presentations, role-plays, simulations, and outdoor adventures. These carefully curated experiences made by well-educated facilitators, were complemented by the guidance and support of experienced leaders, fostering a nurturing and collaborative environment.

  • Developing Competences and Raising Awareness

Through the STEAM workshops, the young people had the opportunity to explore interdisciplinary fields, develop critical thinking skills, and strengthen their problem-solving abilities. They had the chance to develop time management skills, become responsible, learned how to set priorities and optimize productivity. The teamwork workshops fostered collaboration, communication, and leadership skills, enabling participants to effectively work in diverse and multicultural environments.

  • Cultural Exchange and Values

The Greek participants had the chance to immerse themselves in different cultures, by cooperating with kids from Romania, Poland and Lithuania. Through the program, they got to discover the rich cultural heritage of the other countries, while also sharing their own traditions and customs. This intercultural dialogue created a sense of solidarity, respect, and appreciation for diversity. Moreover, by embracing values such as democracy, social inclusion, and solidarity, the young leaders emerged with a strengthened sense of civic responsibility and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.

  • Impact and Achievements

The Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Lithuania left a lasting impact on all the participants involved. They not only acquired valuable knowledge and skills but also developed a sense of self-confidence, resilience, and adaptability. The experience enabled them to broaden their perspectives, overcome cultural barriers, and strengthen their intercultural communication abilities. The collaborative nature of the program also fostered the beginning of friendships.

None of these would have happened if we wouldn't create a psychologically safe environment. By prioritizing effort over results, promoting respect, encouraging emotional regulation, and nurturing acceptance, we established a team where each member could feel valued and supported. We tried to achieve that by creating a safe space for self-expression, by promoting respect and by fostering acceptance among team members. We were embracing valuing each other's opinions and perspectives by making an atmosphere where everyone feels heard. We embraced them to be involved in an authentic and vulnerable way and ended up deepening our trust and understanding".
