Creating STEAM Innovations
Our girls Despina, Lydia and Sofia traveled to Lithuania, specifically Siauliai, to be trained in innovative STEAM tools and to share knowledge and cultural elements.
See below what they said about the Creating STEAM Innovations program:
"The program in Lithuania was a new adventure for me. I discovered a whole newworld regarding education in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). The Design Sprint and Challenge Based Learning (CBL) methods gave us the opportunity to explore how creativity and challenge can be combined to create an experience that is both fun and educational."- Despina
"I am very satisfied about the program. I learned a lot about STEAM and how I can apply some teaching methods in youth work. I was impressed with 'LEGO serious play ' and its impact as a teaching tool, not only to children but also to adults. This method strengthened my creativity and my ability to generate ideas. Additionally, a method I learned called 'design thinking ' was a nice addition to the teaching methods. The coordinators helped me understand why design thinking is so important and how to use this method in my everyday problems. Overall, the project was really organized and each one of the participants offered a lot to the group. I am incredibly satisfied about the things I learned and the memories I created!

"IThe training course Creating STEAM innovations that took place in Siauliai, Lithuania, was my first experience as a participant in an Erasmus+ program. For me it was a unique experience, because I found myself travelling in a Baltic country in which I have never been before and I probably wouldn’t have chosen in a different situation. The trainers were exceptionally creative, with great energy and teaching skills. The whole process took place through games and interactive activities. The facilities and equipment of Siauliai technines kurybos centras were truly impressive."
