Reconnecting with Nature
In Sanilles, Spain, from 29.06-08.07, a youth exchange called "Reconnect with Nature" took place.
The primary objective of the "Reconnect with Nature" project and youth exchange was to train the participants in innovative eco-lifestyle practices.
During the week, the individuals in the group had the opportunity to:
👉 discover themselves through activities in nature (hiking, plant and tree identification, observation).
👉 participate in creating stories and debates about eco-entrepreneurship.
👉 reflect on personal progress and development through contact with nature
Read below how the participants from Greece describe their experience:
Making an impact and motivating each other as a team really opened my eyes to new possibilities and perspectives! During the program I moved my body a lot as me and the other participants did a lot of activities like hiking, dancing, and playing together. I also let my creativity flow as me and other members of different teams that I was a part of, prepared environmental projects that we presented to our small community.

The experience was unique, I hope to have more opportunities in the future to participate in similar projects and I hope to motivate other young people to do the same! Our stay in shared dormitories in the forest reminded us of camping, the best way to get in touch with nature. Through the activities of the project we got to know each other better and became aware of environmental problems , in addition we had the opportunity to participate in a local volunteer activity. As a result we were more motivated to take action in our local community and take initiatives.

Living together with a small group of open-minded, inspiring individuals has been an overall amazing experience! The purpose of this project has been fulfilled as I learned a lot about making an impact as an individual and working together with others as a team! Socialising, hiking, dancing, and playing with other participants helped me practise my english and spanish as well as my social skills.

My experience in the Feel the nature program was unique. Most of all I liked the contact I had with nature because during the whole program nature was everywhere. We were always active outside, doing gymnastics, hiking, games and we spent our free time outside as much as possible. I learned so much about environmental activism and created a new relationship with the people around me that has inspired me to be more active in environmental protection issues. We cultivated our creativity as well as our ability to work together and be a team.
