Kitchen Youth Work

Kitchen Youth Work is a training course that took place in the small town of Osterholz-Scharmbeck, in Germany, from 31.08.2024 to 07.09.2024.

The main objectives of the programme were to:

👉 Explore the methodology of working with youth within the kitchen environment.

👉 Train in the management of sustainable practices in the kitchen area.

👉 Exchange good practices and educational methods related to non-formal learning.

👉 Collaborate in an intercultural group and communicate with each other

👉 Network at a European level and develop new partnerships.

The experience seemed to have reached its goals, as we can see with the feedback from George:

My experience of the project "Kitchen Youth Work" was so unique, as it was the first time that this project was carried out. Throughout it we were trained for the position of logistics and resources control in any kind of Erasmus+ projects. The cooking part was ,of course, my favourite thing. An insight of the project were the ways of effective communication we had to employ when working in teams. Yet, Ι have had so much fun with like-minded people and I made friends for life.

The program is co-funded by the European Union.
