Skills4Future was a youth exchange that took place from 14-25.09.2024 in Arcus, in the heart of Romania.

The main objectives of the exchange were: 

👉 Understand better the youth from the countryside and the difficulties of living in the countryside.

👉 Discover how the discussion about stereotypes is linked to the opportunities for rural youth

👉 Exchange experiences with other people their age and develop their network.

George:

In Arcus, a small village near SF Gheorghe, Romania, our Erasmus+ project connects participants to learn about helping as a main element of the village economy. While discussing the problems facing each country from Europe, we share creative ideas, look for active measures and help to lift and grow the local economy. Through sharing and best practices, we believe it is possible to elevate the region, demonstrate its importance to society, as well as provide a basis for the development of justice and green space. The purpose here is to help develop, and financially, the rural areas of Europe and bring new strategies out. Through sharing and relevant best practices, we believe that it is possible to raise the peripheries, show their relevance for the society, as well as providing a basis for the development of justice and Green space. The purpose here is to help develop, and economically, the rural parts of Europe and bring in new strategies forward.

Anastasia:

Through this program, I have learned a lot about myself as well as others. This project has helped me understand the challenges faced by residents in rural areas and how we can strive to make a difference and bring about change. Additionally, by socializing with people from around the world, I was inspired and given the opportunity to hear their stories, which allowed me to see things from a new perspective.Through this experience, I explored aspects of myself that I hadn't considered, and I also learned a lot about other people's lives. The project helped me to understand the problems faced by people in rural areas and to realize how we can contribute to change these conditions. In addition, through interacting with people from different countries, I got inspiration and heard their stories, which made me see the world from a new, more open perspective.

Anastasia:

It was the first time he did this kind of Erasmus+ where I interacted with other people from different countries. One of the challenges I faced is that I had to speak English all the time to be able to get along with the others. It helped me a lot in speaking more easily and not being shy. The topic we had was very interesting because we saw in each country how different things are there... If I had the chance again I would go again and of course I would recommend it to others...
