The group "Hate Trackers - Trainers Edition" carried out a dynamic outdoor action in Eleftherias Park, in order to inform and raise awareness about hate speech. The action included an open dialogue with visitors to the park, strengthening our connection with the local community.

During the action, we approached people of different ages and backgrounds and asked them questions:

• What does the term 'hate speech' mean to you?

• What hate speech phenomena have you observed online?

The answers we received were varied. Some had a clear view of hate speech, citing examples from their everyday lives, such as racist speech or sexist attacks. Others admitted that they had not thought about the issue in depth, but showed an interest in learning more.

In each discussion, our team offered basic information on what constitutes hate speech, how it affects victims and society as a whole, and ways to identify and deconstruct such phenomena. In addition, we presented examples of successful responses to hate incidents to show that change is possible.

This action had multiple benefits. On the one hand, it gave us the opportunity to raise awareness directly among citizens. On the other hand, we received valuable information on how people perceive hate speech and what their needs for information and education are.

Freedom Park, as a symbol of openness and dialogue, was the ideal setting for this action. We are proud of the public's response and inspired to continue our efforts to create a society based on respect and understanding.
