Project: Training of Youth Workers: Into the Future
Date: 07.08.2024-14.08.2024
Location: Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Germany
The project was open to 5 participants aged over 18 years old, wishing to be part of a team of people working with youth, trainers, and representatives of organisations at European level. They were trained and collaborated through experiential learning methods and enriched their knowledge and methods, while having the opportunity to stay in a green place in Germany and being trained by highly experienced trainers.
The objectives of the project was for individuals to:
👉 Learn about the "Competency Model for people working with youth"
👉 To be trained in training programme management and team management
👉 Exchange good practices and training methods related to non-formal learning
👉 To work in an intercultural team and communicate with each other
👉 Network at European level and develop new partnerships
Here is what Eftychia, who participated in the project, has to say about it:
This training course provided me an opportunity to develop key youth work competencies such as communication and intercultural teamwork. I learned how to design educational programs and facilitate group learning. A special moment for me was collaborating with people from different cultures to create our own workshop about meaningful communication.
The project is co-funded by the European Union.
