Project: Equal Voices

Location: Cerralba, Spain

Equal Voices is a youth exchange that took place in the spanish city of Cerralba, from 11 to 19 of December. The project was open for participants from 18 to 30, with a group leader over 20 years old, wishing to practise the themes of emotional-sexual diversity and gender equality, with the aim of promoting an inclusive and respectful society. They were part of a diverse team, had the opportunity to connect with people from many European countries, and gained valuable knowledge about the importance of protecting diversity and diversity in society.

The objectives of the program were for individuals to:

👉 Deconstruct gender stereotypes and challenge socially imposed norms and roles

👉 Empower themselves as agents of social change, providing them with the tools and knowledge needed to advocate for gender equality 

👉 Learn tools such as games or social media that help us to work for gender equality and sexual diversity with young people.

Angeliki:

My experience in the Equal Voices program was quite special. I was given the opportunity to exchange views on topics that I don't usually get the chance to discuss and developed my knowledge on how society beyond my small town treats people with "differences". A moment from the program that will stay with me is our visit to the local primary school, through which we were able to see how children who have been brought up differently from children in Greece respond to questions from our program's topic.

Konstantina: 

My experience with the program was crucial for my personal development, as I had the opportunity to get to know different cultures and collaborate with people from various countries. I also improved my English and gained valuable experiences for my future development.
