Building Sustainable Future
Project: Building Sustainable Future
Date: 02.04.2025 - 10.04.2025
Location: Dobczyce, Poland
Hello folks, last week I had an amazing opportunity to participate in an Erasmus+ project about building a more sustainable future for everyone using Lego serious play as a tool. In this project we had the chance to raise awareness of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals as well as to create a safe environment for everyone by gaining a deeper understanding of each other's principles. Moreover, we managed to identify different problems and after big group discussions we came to some possible solutions on which we actually based our individual model of the idea! On my behalf, I would like to thank everyone who gave me this unique opportunity to meet all of these wonderful people who made me understand better topics such as this one and helped equip myself with knowledge and tools to make an impact on my local community!
The quote above is from Nikos – one of the participants of the training course “Building Sustainable Future” which took place in Dobczyce, Poland, between 2nd and 10th of April 2025. The training course was open for three participants over the age of 18 who wanted to learn about how to use innovative tools in supporting youth-led initiatives.
The goals of the training course was for the participants to:
👉Learn new creative tools to support the development and guidance of youth-led initiatives
👉Share realities in local teacher communities and reflect on the challenges young people face in relation to climate change, environmental education and sustainability skills
👉Reflect on possible ways to support the active participation of young people in community development activities related to sustainability and environmental protection
👉Empower youth educators to think in innovative ways to approach sustainability-related issues and develop creative solutions to increase the impact and effectiveness of youth-led initiatives that focus on developing sustainability capacities among young people
👉Discover personal challenges related to environmental education and work through dilemmas associated with sustainability-related issues
The project is co-funded by the European Union.
