Project: Go Ahead

Location: Toledo, Spain

During the training course “Go Ahead”, people over the age of 18 got to deep dive into the field of youth work. Increasing their knowledge about youth participation, exchanging perspectives with each other on the role of youth work in different countries, and learning new methods are some of the aspects the participants got to engage with. The course took place between 29th of April and 6th of May 2025 in beautiful Toledo in Spain. 

The objectives of the Go Ahead training course was for the participants to:

👉Gain a common understanding of the concept of youth participation, analyzing its principles, levels and dimensions.

👉Exchange different ideas, practices and visions regarding youth participation in the countries and contexts of the participants

👉Equip individuals with practical methods and innovative approaches to enhance youth participation. 

👉Explore approaches, means and methods for youth participation.

👉Present Erasmus+ and other opportunities that can support the development and implementation of youth participation actions.

Participating in the Erasmus+ training “Go Ahead” in Spain was a meaningful experience for me as an educator and youth mentor. For me, the “Go Ahead” program was an amazing experience (it was also my first program). I’ve learned a lot of things, laughed a lot, connected with people from different countries and backgrounds, got to know Spain more and came back to Greece really full! I hope I will find the courage to apply to other programmes too, because this was a difficult decision for me.. Thank you very much for the support and the experience!
