The Human Rights Odyssey

Project: The Human Rights Odyssey

Dates: 25.05.2026 - 29.05.2026

Location: Karlovac, Croatia

Emily:

“Although the program lasted only four days, it was an extremely interesting and unforgettable experience, full of learning, reflection, meaningful interaction, and the exchange of ideas with participants from eight different European countries. The program focused on human rights in the modern digital era, highlighting the new challenges and opportunities arising from rapid technological advancement and the digital transformation of society. Through innovative non-formal education methods, we had the opportunity to explore these topics in a creative way.

At the same time, we actively contributed to the creation and drafting of the Karlovac Fourth Generation Human Rights Declaration, a particularly significant process that allowed us to express ideas and proposals regarding the protection of human rights in today’s digital environment.

The program also gave us the opportunity not only to collaborate, but also to build meaningful friendships with people of different ages, experiences, and cultural backgrounds. We shared moments of joy, laughter, and relaxation while discovering Karlovac, a beautiful, green, and welcoming city in Croatia.

The organization of the training course was excellent at every level, characterized by great care and professionalism. This experience once again confirmed the unique value and authenticity of Erasmus+ programs.”

Alexandra:

It was my first Erasmus+ experience, and it genuinely made me want to take part in more programs in the future. Through the activities, I gained a clearer understanding of what 4th‑generation rights mean in practice and how they shape our everyday digital lives. But the best part was meeting people from so many different countries and forming friendships that I feel will truly last. It’s an experience everyone should live at least once!

Chrysanthi:

We are grateful to have been part of this Erasmus+ training course that brought together people from different countries and backgrounds. Through  activities, workshops and teamwork, we explored important topics related to human rights, AI, genetics, and digital literacy in today’s digital world and the impact of these.

The project created a positive, inclusive, and inspiring environment where we could exchange ideas, learn from each other, and build connections. The trainers and organizers did an amazing job making the experience both educational and enjoyable.

Beyond the learning experience, we also shared unforgettable moments, learned about different cultures, discovered places, and created new friendships that will stay with us for a long time.

The project is co-funded by the European Union.
