Panagiota in Denmark
🌍 Panagiota is in Denmark and shares a little of her experience with us. 🤤
“I’m 29, and I finally decided to take the step I’d always dreamed of: joining an ESC project. Even at the last minute, a year before turning 30 and no longer being able to apply, I thought, ‘It’s now or never,’ and honestly… I haven’t regretted it for a second! I’ve been in Denmark for two weeks now, and although the cold has already arrived, I feel the warmth of the people around me every day. From the school staff and fellow volunteers to my host family and everyone I’m gradually getting to know. Through my daily life at school, I have the opportunity to experience the Danish education system firsthand, observe different teaching approaches, and learn from the children and the people around me. And so, somewhere between new habits, a new daily routine, and a language I don’t understand yet, I’m trying to adapt and find my own place in this new environment. If there’s one thing I’ve learned so far, it’s that you don’t have to feel completely ready to take the leap. Sometimes, you simply need to say, ‘I’m going to do it,’ even if it’s at the last minute, even if you’re scared, even if you don’t know what lies ahead. Because you might discover that the very thing you were afraid to start… is exactly what you needed. Just two weeks in, and I already feel like this is only the beginning.”
Panagiota, enjoy every moment! We wish you all the best!
