Mapping the Living Journey

Project: Mapping the Living Journey
Dates: 22/3/26 - 29/3/26
Location: Durau, Romania

The Erasmus+ training course “Mapping the Living Journey” brought participants together in Durau, Romania, for a week of experiential learning focused on communication, cooperation, self-awareness, and group dynamics. Through psychology-based activities, different roles, and collaborative challenges, participants explored how individuals can contribute their strengths to create stronger and more meaningful collective outcomes.

The programme encouraged participants to reflect on their own identity and behaviour within a group, while developing practical skills and tools that can be transferred to youth work and everyday life.

The objectives of the programme were for participants to:

👉 Develop communication and cooperation skills.
👉 Increase flexibility and adaptability when working in dynamic and unpredictable groups.
👉 Strengthen self-awareness and understanding of individual roles within a group.
👉 Explore the power of collaboration and collective achievement.
👉 Create practical tools and methods that can be transferred to youth work practice.

Participant:
“Beyond the skills and experiences you gain from programmes like these, there’s something else that people don’t always think about at the beginning: the chance to discover a new place, meet people from across Europe, hear their stories, and see how they live and think. Somewhere along the way, without even realizing it, you start building real connections. In the end, what stays with you isn’t just what you learned, but the people you met and the moments you shared. That sense of connection is what helps us grow—and perhaps the most powerful thing we take with us when the journey is over.”

The project is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme.
