The EQ Effect

Project: The EQ Effect
Dates: 16/7/26 - 23/7/26
Location: Recoaro Terme, Italy

The Erasmus+ training course “The EQ Effect” brought together 3 youth workers and professionals aged 20+ in Recoaro Terme, Italy. Through non-formal and experiential learning, participants explored emotional intelligence, conflict management, effective communication, and inclusion. The programme provided practical tools and methods that participants can apply in their work with young people, while creating space for reflection, cultural exchange, and personal growth.

The objectives of the programme were for participants to:

👉 Develop emotional intelligence, communication, and conflict management skills.
👉 Gain practical tools and methods for working effectively with young people.
👉 Exchange experiences and good practices with youth workers from across Europe.
👉 Promote inclusion and social participation, especially for marginalized groups.
👉 Become multipliers by sharing their knowledge within their organisations and communities.

Some words from the participants:
“I never imagined that one week of an international programme could offer me so many new experiences, ideas, friendships and, above all, a version of myself that I didn’t even know existed. The experience was so powerful that I instantly decided to do another ESC project! Without a doubt, I will always remember this week in July, no matter how many years pass.”

“If I could describe the week I had in Recoaro Terme in three words, they would be: passion, freedom and discovery. Passion because the organisers had the talent to motivate us in a unique way. Freedom because the variety of activities—such as theatre, painting and dance—allowed me to participate in my own way and always receive positive feedback. Discovery because during this week I discovered new things about myself, how I react to different situations, and most importantly, why. I am grateful to have been part of this experience, filled with emotions, new experiences and a lot of humour.”

The project is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme.
