Annezina's Experience in Denmark
“Whatever you want to do, just go for it. Believe me, the reward that follows is far greater than the fear you felt!”
🌍 Annezina is in Denmark and shares a glimpse of her experience with us. 🤤
“A few months after graduating, I decided to do something completely different: try living abroad. And I haven’t regretted it for a moment since!
I’ve now been in Denmark for almost a month, volunteering at the cultural centre of a beautiful, picturesque town south of Copenhagen. At first, everything felt unfamiliar and different, but I was lucky to meet warm, welcoming people who made settling in so much easier from the very beginning.
If I had to pick one of the many culture shocks I’ve experienced, it would be cycling. And no, it’s not as simple as it sounds. Riding through town alongside cars, following traffic signs and using pedal brakes has been my biggest challenge so far. But every challenge is there to be overcome.
Although I haven’t even been in Denmark for a full month, I already feel enriched by so many experiences and the people I’ve met. And this is only the beginning... What I’ve learned is that you can’t experience anything if you let fear of the unknown hold you back. So whatever you want to do, just go for it. Believe me, the reward that follows is far greater than the fear you felt!”
Annezina, thank you for the inspiration!
