Coopcom Green Jobs was implemented from 20.06.22 to 26.06.22 in Marselle, France and the main topics were:
- Strengthening the role of NGOs and workers employed in the youth sector.
- Expanding the network of partner organizations active in sustainable development.
- The promotion of methods of psychological, physical and social well-being.
"It was the first time I participated in an Erasmus+ program and I admit that now with every opportunity I pursue it. I participated to enrich my CV and learn 'green' practices that could be applied here in Greece as well. But I am happy to share that the best part and biggest surprise of the trip was the people I interacted with. It can serve the organizations from the host organization at the same time, but communicating and sharing ideas and experiences with people who are so different and yet so similar to me, taught me a lot. I made friendships that will continue beyond the program, discussed social issues and learned about daily life in the other participating countries not as a tourist but from residents. Practicing my French was also a bonus for me! You will definitely see me in some next mobility. " Konstantina.
"Hello there! I saw that in France they care more for environment by recycling etc than my country. I will never forget the facility with people with special needs and how much they try there to make these people feel like normal members of community and even to care for the environment. Definitely I will participate in another project in the future." Lemonia.
"My experience in the COOP Green Jobs Erasmus + project introduced me to multiple good practices from all over Europe. Our organizations exchanged ideas on sustainable development and CSR. At the end of the program, I felt inspired to introduce my own organization, Solidarity for Fashion, with such ideas. I am really grateful for this opportunity and hope to work again with some of the participants I met in Marseille." Sofía.
"Thanks to the Hellenic Youth Participation where I participated in a training course focused on environmentally sustainable initiatives and ideas for green jobs. Among other things, during the project we visited sustainable and Corporate Social Responsibility projects, we worked together to create ideas for future green jobs, while all participants shared their sustainable practices in their home countries, which sparked many interesting discussions and further exchange of ideas during the workshops. The most positive part of this experience was visiting a rehabilitation center where we were given a tour of the initiatives that have been developed to provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Exploring ways to achieve the inclusion of people facing various societal challenges should be a top priority in any political agenda, because we often forget that this is a basic human right and not an extraordinary opportunity. Of course I would fail to mention the very interesting participants I met and with whom we had long hours of discussions on all the topics that concerned us. Until next time!" Marilena.
