Meet the Legends
Meet the Legends was implemented from 16.07 to 26.07.22 in Požega, Croatia and the main topics were:
- To show the young people different cultures and their legends in a fun and an interactive way.
- To increase acceptance of other cultures and the appreciation of diversity in Europe.
- To help young people connect to their roots and develop a better understanding of their own culture.
- To see how different cultures use the same method to disseminate values to children.
"During the "Meet the legends" program in Croatia we had the opportunity to learn about myths and stories from Croatia, Romania, Spain and Serbia and at the same time learn more about the myths and stories of Greece. Also, we were able to understand in depth the method of telling stories (storytelling) through presentations by the organizers and also through experiential activities. On the last day of the program we put into practice what we had learned as we did a small play in a kindergarten in Croatia and were able to connect with the children through the stories, even though we didn't speak the same language. It was a special experience that offered us knowledge and new friendships." - Maria
"The days in Pozega were special because I met many new people from different cultures as well as Greeks, with whom we managed to connect and exchange experiences and opinions. The activities of the program helped a lot in developing relationships between us, as it also led to the achievement of the goal, which was to get to know the myths and legends of other countries and learn more about the cultural heritage of the participating countries. A special moment that stood out to me in the program was the card game, through which we understood that communication is the key to better cooperation and understanding, as well as how the ways of adapting to a "foreign" environment can vary." -Georgina

"The fact that we had to share our culture through fairy tales made me get to know not only other countries but also Greece. I take with me a lot of knowledge and experience. "Another fairy tale for me came to an end, in the picturesque village of Pozega, Croatia. By learning myths and fairy tales from each country separately, creating art and beautiful memories for ourselves and those around us, we created our own fairy tale where of course it will not be forgotten and will keep us company forever. The fantastic end of our fairy tale was, of course, the visit to the town's kindergarten and the performance we gave to the children, as well as the friendships we made during..." -Marios
"My first Erasmus+ experience was one of the most exciting experiences I've ever had. Initially, from the very first moments, activities were organized to get to know each other, which continued in the first days. Then, in the days that followed, the workshops began where we began to learn about the myths and legends of other countries. We also had the opportunity to taste traditional food from each participating country and learn about it at the national evenings organized daily. Besides these, the daily activities included training in the way of telling myths, during which different stages in the telling of a myth were analyzed. Through them, we were able to tell myths of our country in a kindergarten, where we presented plays and short videos. Finally, a special moment for me was when we were invited to participate in activities organized by program participants and with a theme chosen by them." -Giannis
