Change Today For a Better Tomorrow
Change Today For a Better Tomorrow was implemented from 12.07 to 22.07.22 in Bremen, Germany and the main topics were:
- Address the lack of motivation and clear information that youngsters have regarding sport and active lifestyle.
- Encourage the participants to try out new activities and discover the fun side of being physically active together.
- Make participants more aware of easy ways to incorporate outdoor sports into their daily routines.
- Teach to the youth the basics about setting a tent or how to stay dry when it rains.
"We went on a 4 hour canoe trip and it was a very special experience! At first, it was very physically demanding for me and I thought I wouldn't make it! But as i kept going and we learnt to communicate better as a team, it got easier and i managed to enjoy the company, play guessing games and experience the nature."-Dafne.
"For me this project was about overcoming my fears, challenging myself, discovering new things. Trying new activities that I would never have a chance to try made me really grateful. If i could describe it in 3 words it would be, friendship, adventure, unique."-Athina.
"I have participated in a number of erasmus+ projects before and i can easily say that this one was my favorite! Everyone was open minded , had positive energy and was ready to hear and learn more about each other. The organization of the project was impeccable and the time schedule was convenient for every participant. Great experience overall!"-Manolis.
"This youth exchange was a great opportunity to connect with nature and other people. Through physical and mental activities we were able to get to know each other, build trust and learn more about other cultures as well as our selves. I'm really thankful that I was given the opportunity to participate."-Kostas.
"When I signed up for joining the “Change today for a better tomorrow” Erasmus+ program at Berne, Bremen, Germany, I for sure could not imagine it would have such a strong impact on me. Before the start of the program I was hesitant, given it was my first youth exchange experience but while returning back home after missing two trains and a flight due to regional train delays, I know I could participate again hands-down. Even if I had to miss the trains and flight again! Meeting so many amazing new people -both participants and facilitators- from all over Europe made me realize so much both about my own environmental practices and the state of environmental and nature protection in my country as well as in a personal level. It allowed me to develop myself into a more responsible citizen, learning that individual action can be possible, effective and equally vital as the collective. Small, everyday change certainly does make an impact, like the one this programme and it’s people did to me."-Constantinos.
"So...Change today for a better tommorow was not only a project but a experience that i will remember my whole life.I learnt how small actions have a huge impact in our life. The enviroment its part of our life and we have to protect it at any cost.Everyone can help in his own way of course!I also learnt how to interact with people of different countries and how to cooperate so we can solve any kind of problems. The highlight of the project is when we fell in the river with the kayak. Its was something unexpected but we functioned like a team and we quick hit the road again!!!"-Neofytos.
"During the project, i learned how much fun i can have by camping in nature with other people and how much such activities can improve my mood and physique. To be more exact i lost about 5kg and i started running with some of my new friends, in the roads near the camp. This and many good other habits i hope to continue to practice in my everyday Life!"-Aggelos.
The project "Change Today For a Better Tomorrow" was co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
