1. Read the program information available to you very carefully.

You read the title and the first sentence and got excited about the program! It has happened to all of us. Give a little more time though to understand exactly the profile of the participant they are looking for and if you see yourself in it! This way you will be able to write your application more completely.

2. Tell your Story

People like to read meaningful stories. With a beginning, middle, end and content. The application is your time to share yours. Small or big, it doesn't matter. Simply show with your handwriting the reason that led to your application today!

3. What is your motivation to participate in this program?

For example, the program you are applying to may be related to the environment. So you can talk about some experience that brought you close to the topic, some inner need that leads you to want to learn more or how you hope to be part of the change you want to see. Find your why and let the person who will read your application understand that you fit the program, not necessarily for your knowledge, but for your eagerness to learn!

4. Show enthusiasm and genuine interest

The question "What do you expect to learn from this program/what are your needs" is your chance to shine! Show enthusiasm, really write down what you would like to gain, be it contact with people from different countries, inspire people around you and be inspired by them, acquire specific skills and improve your language skills or take initiatives. The Erasmus+ and ESC programs are looking for people who have a genuine interest in the subject of the program, want to take initiative, take responsibility and work in a multicultural environment.By answering this question honestly you will know what you wish to get out of this experience and the person who will see your application will be able to discuss with you in what ways you can achieve these goals within the program.

5. Write on a clipboard before writing the regular application

With the questions in an open window, write your answers in another file. This will help you check your answers, correct expressive errors and not lose your work if for some reason your internet goes down. Also, keeping your answers on file will make your next application easier, since you'll have already written a big piece about yourself.

6. Double-check everything

It is not very nice to see a motivation letter or an application that has a lot of expressive errors. It gives the impression that the person making the application is not putting in the time and energy to check for any mistakes. If you don't take the necessary time to make sure your application is even, then will you engage in your chosen program activities with enthusiasm or leave them half-finished?

It may seem like a harsh approach, but this step is very important, and it gives the trainers a lot to understand about you as a person.
